About this Program

The undergraduate speech-language pathology and audiology program is designed to provide students with the academic experiences needed to understand normal processes involved in speech, language, and hearing abilities, and to identify characteristics of communication disorders. Classes also introduce students to clinical procedures for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.

This degree provides students with the prerequisites necessary to apply for graduate programs in speech-language pathology and audiology. A graduate degree is required to become a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist or audiologist.

Requirements

What are the requirements to apply for Speech-Language Pathology at ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿?
Students entering the Bachelor of Science program in Speech-Language Pathology should meet the minimum university admission requirements Undergraduate Admission.

Additional requirements to declare the major are:

  • Students must have completed one year of course work with an overall grade point average of at least 2.50.

  • Students must have completed classes in English, Math, Human Behavior, and Science, as well as the survey class CSD 350.

  • Students must have an interview with a program advisor.
