Greetings,
The Center for Career and Leadership Development is thrilled to announce the upcoming Monarch Leadership Conference for students at Old Dominion University, scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026.
We invite faculty and staff to identify and collaborate with a student leader in submitting a session proposal. This gives a unique, collaborative mentorship for our student leaders to present at a conference. Each session will be about 50 minutes long, allowing plenty of time to engage with the audience. We encourage diverse topics and engaging methods to foster meaningful discussions and interactions around Leadership and its intersection with Career & Self Development.
Some popular sessions from previous years include:
-
Connecting Work, Learning, and Leadership: Leveraging Your Current Role for Future Success
-
Leading Through Service
-
Speaking Through Art: Leisure as an Act of Resistance for a Leader
-
Who, What, When, Where, How and Never Why: Asking the Best Questions
Our priority deadline for proposals is December 1, 2025. However, we are still looking for submissions so if additional time is needed, feel free to reach out. With any questions, please contact Otis Williams at ojwillia@odu.edu
