About this Program
The Department of Biological Sciences at Old Dominion University offers a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a major in biomedical sciences (pre-health), which is an exciting new major that will prepare students for health and biomedical careers. The curriculum for this degree includes human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, immunology, and more. Diagnose, manage, and treat conditions and diseases of the human eye and visual system. Examine eyes and visual system, diagnose problems or impairments, prescribe corrective lenses, and provide treatment. May prescribe therapeutic drugs to treat specific eye conditions.
