We are hosting a Workshop and Virtual Caf茅 focused on Navigating Challenging Conversations and Dealing with Conflict with guest speaker Dr. Kristin A. Gansle.
Kristin A. Gansle, PhD, is a Professor in the Darden College of Education and Professional Studies at Old Dominion University in Educational Psychology and Program Evaluation. She is the Faculty Ombuds for 黑料正能量 and has published in the areas of teacher preparation, effective instruction, school psychology, and special education. She manages data collection, analysis, and reporting for Louisiana鈥檚 evaluation of teacher preparation programs, and currently works with colleagues in Special Education on Virginia Department of Education special education data.
The workshop, Navigating Challenging Conversations and Dealing with Conflict, will take place on January 22, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM via Zoom. Challenging conversations are a routine part of faculty work with students, colleagues, and administrators. This session will discuss why conflict often arises, strategies for deescalating tension, and practical, evidence supported tools that can be used before, during, and after difficult conversations.
