Biology (M.S.)
The curriculum for the Master of Science program is developed around one's interests such as: botany, ecology, immunology, infectious diseases, marine biology, microbiology, physiology, reproductive biology, systematic biology, and zoology. In addition, there are two specially designed concentration areas in 鈥淢edical Microbiology & Immunology鈥 and 鈥淥ne Health鈥.

Chemistry (M.S.)
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers a program of study leading to the degree of master of science. This program offers a sound academic background of coursework and research to prepare the student for further graduate study or employment in fields requiring an advanced degree. Areas of specialization within the program include: analytical chemistry, biochemistry, environmental chemistry, inorganic chemistry, materials chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.

This program prepares students in the application of chemical principles to address many of society's technical, environmental, and biomedical problems. Students will be able to provide leadership in industrial, governmental, and educational institutions in directing research and/or development to solve these problems.

The Department of Psychology offers a doctoral degree in clinical psychology aligned with the standards of accreditation of the American Psychological Association.

Computational & Applied Mathematics (M.S.)
The master鈥檚 program in computational and applied mathematics offered by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics is designed to produce applied mathematicians and statisticians who can meet the growing demand for analytical and computational skills in traditional scientific and multi-disciplinary fields. Students in the program can choose to pursue an option in either applied mathematics, statistics, or biostatistics.

Ecological Sciences (Ph.D.)
Old Dominion University offers a Doctor of Philosophy degree in ecological sciences that provides advanced training in ecological, evolutionary and integrative biology. The program has notable strengths in a broad range of biological subdisciplines, including ecosystem studies, experimental ecology, population biology, conservation biology, systematics, evolutionary biology, biomechanics, and comparative and functional morphology.

The Health Psychology (HP) concentration in the Psychology Ph.D. program at 黑料正能量 provides education, research opportunities, and other relevant experiences around applications of psychology in health, health behavior, and environments that affect health. Health Psychology research and doctoral training addresses a range of focus areas, including alcohol and substance misuse, family and adolescent health, cultural adaptation and identity, injury prevention, stress and health, quantitative issues and their application in health, and many others.

Ocean & Earth Sciences (M.S.)
The masters in Ocean & Earth Science integrated curriculum uses active learning by promoting research and education. It is designed to give graduates the skill sets to prepare them for a range of careers in academia, and the public and private sectors. The graduate program in OEAS draws from the strength of our diverse faculty and their active research programs that span the globe. Graduate students have the opportunity to take part in research projects among a broad suite of field sites from the local waters of the Chesapeake Bay to the polar regions.

Our Ph.D. program provides students with opportunities to perform research in some of the most current and dynamic areas of physics. In the first two years, students develop a solid and broad base of physics knowledge through the core curriculum, departmental colloquia, and research training. Armed with the core knowledge, doctoral students join a research group working in an area of particular interest. This research is performed in very close collaboration with one or more faculty whose interests span a wide range of physics fields.

The curriculum is designed to provide a strong background in statistics, research methods, and general psychology so that the student will have a wide range of choices for future professional education and development.
